Study Aids
We tend to think of books when we consider study aids, yet even though they may be the most common type, they’re far from being the only form of study aids. There are books available for purchase for literally any kind of college test you may take. In addition, you can often purchase CDs or DVDs alone or in conjunction with a study book. Some study books have a CD attached, so you can practice exercises that may be on the test.
Those who are trying to improve their vocabulary often buy or make flash cards. Flash cards are an excellent study aid for vocabulary, geography, history, and almost any subject that involves memorization.
The Internet is an incredible study aid. Regardless of which subject you’re looking for, you’re going to find some information about it online. If you’re studying for a well-known test, you’ll likely find free study aids and resources online.

The Law School Admission Test (LSAT) is the test students have to take before they can be admitted to law school. There are several books and study aids available to anyone preparing for this exam. www.amazon.com has several books available on the subject of LSAT prep test workout, one of which is from The Princeton Review and is titled LSAT Workout. The book contains about 400 practice questions and fully detailed answers, so you can understand why you got any particular question wrong. The book’s focus seems to be more about strategy than any particular knowledge.
Another place to find LSAT prep test workout study aids is on the website of the Law School Admission Council. www.lsac.org has several resources for students, including an online shop to order LSAT test prep supplies. Perhaps the most helpful study aids for the LSAT are the tests that were administered in previous years, the most recent likely being the most helpful. Also available at Amazon.com, 10 Actual Official LSAT PrepTests™ is available at the Council’s online store. By taking “practice tests” of actual LSAT tests that were administered, you may be able to more closely gauge your progress, as you prepare for the big day. The council’s website can also give you more information about the LSAT, the fees involved, and information about financial aid for law school. Once you graduate, you’ll be glad you took the time to get prepared.
